@thetokyogourmet just read your review and honestly am not surprised. I have never been to Mirazur before so am not familiar with their food and philosophy. But Mauro Colagreco is certainly in global expansion mode with this Tokyo opening and another one called Palisance in HK last year. Have been underwhelmed by these global expansions so many times that I try to avoid them like the plague
I always get sucked in :). MAZ Tokyo is genuinely very good and SMAAK in Yohohama (which I'll post about soon) is excellent. So sometimes they get it right, other times (Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura Tokyo) it's just your wallet that has good outing.
